What to Expect

Safe and effective across all skin types, Hydrafacial is a gentle, non-irritating treatment; however, results will vary from patient to patient. After your Bellora consultation, your esthetician will determine your personalized course of treatment, including the serums and treatment duration that will resolve your skin concerns and offer you the best results. Treatments range from 30–60 minutes each time.

Every Hydrafacial treatment includes three elements:

  • Cleanse: A gentle acid exfoliation peel extracts debris and dirt (aka gunk) to relieve congested skin and reveal a new clean layer of skin.
  • Extract: Your Bellora esthetician will prepare a personalized treatment that includes super-strength serums specific to your problem areas or skin concerns.
  • Hydrate: Antioxidants and lush moisture will sink into your skin, for a luminous glowy finish.

During your Hydrafacial, you might feel the gentle suctioning of the hand piece, evidence of the vortex extractions and the infusion of the serums into your skin. After your treatment, your skin will feel smooth and hydrated for up to four weeks. To lengthen the duration of your results, using medical grade skincare products is highly recommended.

For best results, it’s recommended to stick to a monthly Hydrafacial regimen; however, many patients see results after one treatment, typically lasting one to two weeks. If your skin concerns include wrinkles, dehydrated skin, acne, brown spots, or fine lines, maximized results could require monthly sessions.

Benefits of Hydrafacial include:

  • Non-invasive/no downtime
  • Safe for all skin types
  • Instant glow
  • Personalized treatment options (geared to clarify, rejuvenate, or nourish)

Before Your Appointment

Before your Hydrafacial, avoid rough exfoliating, waxing, and using acid-containing products or Retin-A type products in the treatment area for 5–7 days prior. Avoid these for at least two weeks after your treatment.

After Your Appointment

As with all treatments, skin may be more sensitive than usual after a Hydrafacial. To minimize the risk of sun damage, sunburn, or hyperpigmentation, we highly recommend avoiding contact with the sun following your Hydrafacial experience. Aside from avoiding sun exposure, patients are safe to resume usual activities immediately after treatment. There is no downtime! We highly recommend continued use of daily sunscreen with an SPF of 40 or higher.

For best results and minimized irritation, we recommend avoiding the following for at least one week after treatment:

  • Tanning beds
  • Chlorinated pools or hot tubs
  • Using products that contain acid or Retin-A
