How a Lip Flip Works
Your Bellora practitioner will inject a small amount of neurotoxin (aka Botox, Xeomin, Jeuveaux, Dysport, or Daxxify) into your upper lip. This causes the muscles above the lip to relax resulting in the upper lip “flipping” slightly upward. The lip then appears more prominent without actually increasing its volume, such as a filler placement would.
Is a Lip Flip Right For You?
Lip Flips may be particularly beneficial for individuals who have smiles that expose much of their gums. Following a Lip Flip, less gum shows when the individual smiles because the upper lip does not elevate as much.
How Long Does a Lip Flip Last?
While it can take up to 2 weeks for full results as the toxin takes effect and the muscles relax, your results can last 2-3 months depending on metabolism and movement.
After Your Appointment
Some patients might feel some discomfort or pain when getting injections, so we ice the area during your treatment. To reduce inflammation and bruising, do not lay down flat for 4 hours after treatment.
